1980's Beano Decoupage Chairs. Leeds based product designers Custom One Nine have taken classic retro chairs and given them the Decoupage treatment with Beano annuals from 1981 and 1982. Decoupage is the Arts & Craft movement where you decorate an object by gluing paper cutouts onto it and sealing it by varnishing layers until the 'stuck-on' appearance disappears and looks like a painting. These are fantastic examples from the Custom One Nine who also happened to make the furniture for our store!
